A massage therapist who works at a Denver massage parlor has been accused of fondling and sexually assaulting a client on Dec. 10. The defendant was arrested five days later and formally charged on Dec. 19 on charges of felony sexual assault and misdemeanor unlawful sexual contact.

According to the arrest affidavit, the defendant, 41, met the woman who filed the complaint when she came in to the massage business where he works the evening of Dec. 10 with a coupon for a massage. The woman lay face-up on the table and the man began to work. At first, the massage was normal and "very professional," the affidavit said. But as the woman relaxed, the defendant allegedly began massaging the woman's breasts.

The woman said she thought about protesting, but the man was talking about muscle groups and seemed to still be acting professionally. He asked her to turn onto her stomach and he began massaging her inner thighs. At one point, the woman said, his fingers entered her vagina. Then the defendant left the room.

Afterward, the defendant reportedly hugged the woman and told her he gives massages out of his home. He also mentioned that his birthday was the next day. The woman went home and called the police.

Officers arrested the defendant on Dec. 15. He posted $5,000 bond and was released from Denver County Jail. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Dec. 29. If convicted, he could face a life sentence under Colorado's Lifetime Supervision.
